Devon and Somerset are incredibly dry, which means one tiny spark from a BBQ or open fire could quickly become a major wildfire.

Please swap a BBQ for a picnic instead 🧺 Our firefighters will be quietly cheering you on from afar.

As the dry weather continues, once again we have attended many grass, woodland and crop fires 🔥. Our message is simple, please take great care when enjoying our beautiful countryside this weekend.

🚫 no BBQs in the open
🚫 no camping fires
🚫 no bonfires
🚫 no leaving glass bottles
🚫 no discarding of ci******es

If you see a fire no matter how small, call 999, the ground is tinder dry and fire can spread in seconds. Help to keep our countryside and your communities safe.
