As we get ready to say goodbye to Emma Richardson’s solo exhibition, 'Levitate Me: Desire, Ecstasy and the Sublime' at the end of August, we look forward to a fascinating talk to here at the Gallery this Saturday 15 August at 2.30pm.

At this unique event, Richardson will introduce her work and art historian Sara Riccardi will expand on the themes of the exhibition, looking at them from a broader art-historical lens. In how many forms was desire represented in past centuries’ art? What did it mean to represent transcendence? And what does this tell us about art’s power to express humanity?
