“Difficulties Be Damned” is a dynamic WWII living history group based in the South of England, dedicated to bringing the stories of the Canadian Armed Forces in 1944–45 to life.

We portray frontline soldiers of the 2nd Canadian Division — including The Royal Regiment of Canada — alongside the remarkable women who served as Nursing Sisters and members of the Canadian Women’s Army Corps.

You’ll find us at events across the South, delivering immersive displays, authentic kit, and engaging storytelling that keeps Canadian military history alive!

Want to get involved?
If you’re over 16 and passionate about history, we’d love to welcome you. We can provide uniforms and equipment for new members — just send us a message and join the ranks!
