⚔️ The Prestonpans Tapestry tells the story of the Jacobite Rising of 1745 up until that victory at Prestonpans on 21st September. Based on the Bayeaux Tapestry, it was stitched by over 200 volunteers, is 104 metres long, and is currently the longest in the world.⚔️

⚔️Clan Cameron feature throughout the campaign, their involvement documented on the Tapestry on panels 24, 28, 64, 65 and 77. ⚔️

⚔️ The tapestry can be viewed (it's displayed in sections rather than all at once) in the Prestonpans Museum. ⚔️

🎶 Braes of Locheil / Braighe Loch Iall 🎶

A traditional Gaelic lament which tells of the longing to return to the Braes of Loch Eil in Lochaber.

Lochiel is the traditional title of the Chief of Clan Cameron.
