🎃 Haunted High House - Children and Adults

Meet our assortment of odd characters that live around the House in the decorated rooms, will you dare going all the way up to the attic?

There will be a well-lit, friendly space in the exhibition room with games and an activity, safe from scares!

Book your preferred arrival slot now to guarantee entry into the Haunted High House.
Pre-booking is required. Please book via the website.

This is a family event and no under 18’s will be permitted without an adult accompanying them.

Take a gentle stroll around Stafford with our knowledgeable guide to see the town in a new light with this tour taking a loop that looks at St Marys Church, the Alms Houses and Victoria Park amongst other locations. Learn about the secrets of the buildings and hear about colourful characters from the past.

⛄ Christmas Wreath Workshop
📅 Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th December 2026
🕚 Various Times - 10am to 3pm
📍 Stafford Castle

Create your own bespoke wreath for Christmas! Held at Stafford Castle in the Visitor Centre. All materials supplied to decorate your very own moss ring with fresh greenery, ribbon, dried fruit, baubles or whatever you fancy. Inspiration photos are provided and staff are on hand for advice.This is an ideal pre-Christmas social for adults only, with seasonal music.

Your booking price includes a hot drink, non-alcoholic mulled w**e along with a mince pie.

Due to high demand we have made an extra date for our Home Educators "Christmas Through The Ages" session at the Ancient High House

This two session developed for home educators who are aged 6 years and over, will see you step back in time to see how we celebrated Christmas in times gone by.
You will have the opportunity to make your own pomander to take home. This amazing session will be festive, educational and creative!

There is only one week left of the "Twenties Takeover" exhibition at the Ancient High House! If you haven't seen this fantastic exhibition, this week is your last chance 👜 🎩

This "Twenties" themed exhibition was originally created by and displayed at Staffordshire Archives and Heritage

They have kindly shared the exhibition with us so you now have another chance to see this fabulous collection of memorabilia.

The ‘Twenties Takeover’ exhibition offers a glimpse into different aspects of the decade, including everyday items like clothing, art and homeware. Why not get into the swing of things by dressing up or doing the Charleston.

This free exhibition will be running during usual Ancient High House opening hours, Tuesday through Saturday 10am to 4pm until next Saturday, 17th October
