A bit of a change, this painting was a commision for a chap who wanted an oil painting of a motorcycle he was restoring. I went to his garage to take some photos and to my suprise the 'bike' was a 250cc racing Benelli of which only a handfull had been made. I thought a different background would look better so I used artistic licence.

Thanks to everyone who reacted to my painting of Mike Hailwood. I remember the first time I heard the sound of the Honda 6 at the Isle of Man I could not believe what I was hearing. You could hear it a mile off! This painting is a tribute to Mike and a sound I still listen to thanks to the TT sound stories LPs

We're all set up in the Bremerhaven room at Grimsby town hall as part of their Heritage Days celebration. Open to the public tomorrow and Saturday 10am to 4pm, come and see some fantastic artwork and crafts and art demonstrations.

The North Lincs Art Society will be at the Grimsby Town hall on the 18th & 19th of September as part of the Lincolnshire Heritage days. We will have an art exhibition where you can purchase pictures, prints, greeting cards and other craft items as well as see art demonstrations. We are in the Bremerhaven room on the ground floor. There are many other attractions going on in the Town Hall all with free admission. Open from 10am to 4pm each day.
