As Springwatch broadcasts live from the remarkable Knepp Estate this fortnight, it feels a fitting moment to celebrate the wildlife and rewilding story that has inspired so many.

Knepp has become one of Britain’s most celebrated rewilding projects, led by Isabella Tree and Charlie Burrell and documented in their influential book ‘The Book of Wilding’. The publication’s striking cover artwork was created by acclaimed wildlife artist, Lucy Boydell.

As one of Gladwell & Patterson’s contemporary artists, we are delighted to currently have a collection of Boydell’s work on display in our Stamford gallery. Among the pieces exhibited are ‘Spring Hare’ and bee study ‘is there honey still for tea…?’, which will also be on display at the upcoming BADA Art & Antiques Fair in Rutland

As Springwatch shines a spotlight on Knepp and the success of rewilding, it is wonderful to see Boydell’s artwork connected to a story that continues to inspire people to look more closely at the natural world around them.

Five extraordinary days. A five-star award. And just like that, Chelsea is over.

Thank you to everyone who came to find us at Stand SR167 and share in something we’ve worked so hard to create. Our stand was a labour of love from so many talented people. A heartfelt thank you to for the interior design and the vision that brought our concept to life, and to for a planting scheme that drew every detail from the spirit of 1819, the year Burlington Arcade was founded.

Our entire stand was an ode to our new flagship gallery space, opening at House 50, Burlington Arcade, this June. We can’t welcome you through the doors very soon.

A space is defined by its details...

From layered textiles and antique furniture to richly coloured blooms and thoughtful planting, every element of our RHS Chelsea Flower Show stand was designed to feel considered.

Created in collaboration with interior designer Lucinda Sanford, with planting by Hicks & Hart, the stand draws inspiration from the gallery’s recent move to House 50, Burlington Arcade. Influences from the gallery’s earlier London homes, alongside its long-standing Stamford presence, are woven throughout the space, creating an environment that feels layered and familiar.

The RHS Chelsea Flower Show runs until 23 May. Do pop over to Stand SR167 to say hello.

On Monday, Gladwell & Patterson were honoured to welcome Martin, one of the beloved Beadles of Burlington Arcade, for an exclusive preview of Stand SR167 at the Chelsea Flower Show; a small ceremony that felt entirely right, given that this year’s stand is conceived as a love letter to two great British institutions.

Having recently announced our new gallery space opening at the magnificent House 50, Burlington Arcade, we worked with interior designer Lucinda Sanford to bring the spirit and architecture of that celebrated promenade directly to the grounds of the Royal Hospital Chelsea.

The Chelsea Flower Show runs until 23 May. Do pop over and enjoy all that our stand has to offer, you’ll find us near the Bull Ring Gate.

This recognition is a true reflection of the passion and care that goes into everything we do, and we are deeply grateful to and for bringing our vision so beautifully to life.

Fernbrook Delft by Warner House is beginning to transform Stand SR167 ahead of the Chelsea Flower Show.

With its sweeping botanical trails, delicate florals and painterly toile detailing, Fernbrook Delft brings together the romance of an English garden with the elegance of a classic interior. Set against deep blue panelling, the pattern feels both timeless and immersive - exactly the atmosphere we wanted to create.

We can’t wait to see it all come together. Find Gladwell & Patterson at Stand SR167 from Tuesday 19 May.

One week to go... Gladwell & Patterson are thrilled to be returning to the RHS Chelsea Flower Show 19–23 May.

Among the works on display is a stunning collection of eight still lifes by contemporary artist Stewart Lees.

Stewarts pursuit is realism. Where photographers are bound by a single focal point, Stewart paints what two human eyes actually see: constantly adjusting, unconsciously correcting, making sense of a scene the way only a mind can.

The still lifes themselves can take weeks, sometimes months, to complete. Fruit deteriorates, herbs grow and nothing stays the same. It is slow, demanding work and Stewart describes it honestly: there are days he finishes in the studio feeling as though he has done physical labour, and every painting reaches a moment of crisis. He has learned not to fear that moment, but to work through it.

The results speak for themselves. Come and find us at Stand SR167.
