I have worked in the motor trade since 1976 . I did my apprenticeship at a Renault dealer and attended Willesden technical college . After that i worked for some commercial garages including Ford and Lancia . For a while i worked for a plant company repairing and maintaining various types of machinery . In 1985 i Started my own Garage business in Edgware North London . Apart from the usual servi
ces we eventually expanded into car recovery , engineering and welding . All was going well till 2006 when illness forced me to sell up and recuperate . I kept one recovery truck and did a little bit of mechanics for friends and family . As my health improved i went to work for the owner of a large Classic car collection ( now housed at the Jurby motor museum in the Isle of Man ) where i spent the next ten years restoring every classic car you can think of ( everything from Bond Bugs to Greyhound buses ). The dream job for any petrol /diesel head ! . It would take too long to list all the vehicles i worked on but i will post pics soon . Eventually the entire collection was moved to the Isle of Man .......I was asked to go with it but the wife wasn't to keen !!!!. So i started working for myself on classic cars . Soon after i got a recovery truck and that's where i am today . I don't have a workshop now and work from my Transit van at the customers premises . I do have access to a welding shop for those larger welding jobs and a well equipped engineering workshop for scimming heads and flywheels and removing broken bolts etc . I have a large network of suppliers and services that i can call on and can usually get most things done . Thanks for reading my story and if you have an English, American or European classic vehicle that needs repairing or transporting , Give me a call or send a message .
