An afternoon of remembrance and reflection at Steyning Parish Church.

This All Souls Service of Memorial & Thanksgiving is a gentle space to remember those who have died in the past year, and other loved ones who are no longer with us. There will be an opportunity to light a candle and prayers will be said, and you are warmly invited to join, whether you are grieving recently or remembering from years past.

Taking place at Steyning Parish Church on Vicarage Lane in Steyning, this thoughtful gathering is a meaningful moment in the local calendar for quiet reflection and shared remembrance with the community. It is a chance for residents and those from nearby to come together in and thanksgiving.

An autumn evening of Elgar in the soaring acoustic of Arundel Cathedral awaits.

Arun Choral Society returns after the success of Mendelssohn’s Elijah to perform Edward Elgar’s The Dream of Gerontius, often regarded as his finest choral work and considered by many to be his masterpiece. If you discovered it through its fictitious 1916 performance in the 2025 film The Choral, this is your chance to experience it live.

With tenor Andrew Rawlings as Gerontius, mezzo-soprano Deirdre Arratoon as the Angel, and bass-baritone Ben Hendry-Watkins making his Society debut as the Priest, a choir of over 100 voices and the 51 piece Sinfonia of Arun orchestra will bring this epic score to life.

Classical music lovers and locals alike will not want to miss this remarkable occasion for fans.
