Art Collection at the University of Stirling

Good opportunity for any of our students or community members!

Printmakers of Scotland are looking for enthusiastic volunteers for this year’s Festival of Print at the University of Stirling 14-16 August. Our volunteers help support artists and guest at the ticket desks, our raffle of original art, and wrapping station across the weekend. We ask volunteers to assist us for a minimum of 3 hours, and in return you will gain free entry to the festival for the weekend. We are particularly looking for people who can help on the Friday evening and Sunday morning. Your help is greatly appreciated, and we'd love for you to be part of the event! We're proud to announce that our Art Collection has been named as a Collection of National Significance by Museums Galleries Scotland.

This is a key milestone for our Collection as we continue to work to make arts and culture a part of daily life for students, staff and our community at the University of Stirling.

What would you like to view?

Our Viewing Rooms series will be back this summer, enabling you to come and see works from the Collection that aren't on display. Each Viewing Room, we pick a theme or a group of artists to display and previous themes have included, JD Fergusson, RSA artists, Andrew Hay, Blackadder and Houston and Winter.

We've been nominated for a RATE award in the category Outstanding University Team, Service or Department!

We're really delighted to have been recognised by our lovely students and are looking forward to celebrating with the other nominees at the award ceremony on Thursday. Fingers crossed!

Eagle-eyed visitors might have noticed our new donations box, we're now in the contactless age!

We're so grateful to the Museums Galleries Scotland Museum Futures fund for supporting us to upgrade from our very tired cash donation box.
