A little work in progress from last night’s Craft & Chat live in the Sakura Creative Community ✨🌿

I’ve been slowly working away on this koi pearl painting over the past couple sessions and it’s been really lovely having something calm and creative to focus on in the evenings 💛

We’ve got lots of lovely creative workshops coming up at the studio over the next few weeks 💛

Whether you’re looking to try something completely new, enjoy a creative day out, or simply take a little time for yourself, there’s something for all kinds of creatives and abilities 🎨

As always, our workshops are relaxed, friendly and welcoming - perfect for beginners and improvers alike 💕

And remember, even when there isn’t a fixed workshop running, visitors are always welcome to pop in and craft with company while the studio is open ✨ We’ve always got art supplies available and love seeing people come in to spend a little creative time with us 💛

✨ Artist Spotlight ✨

Today we’re shining the spotlight on Viv Howlett of Artful Amusements 💛

Viv creates a wonderfully fun and colourful range of handmade pieces, from quirky coasters and tote bags to her adorable woolly gonks that always bring a smile in the studio ✨

More recently she’s also started exploring jewellery design, creating beautiful beaded pieces full of colour, texture and personality - and we’re very excited to see more of this new collection arrive soon 👀

Her work has such a playful, creative feel to it and makes lovely gifts or little treats for yourself 💕

Yesterday I actually took my first Bank Holiday Monday off since opening the studio 💛

We spent the day in the garden working on the veg patch, finishing the shed and general sorting out, the kids played in the paddling pool, and we had a BBQ over the fire pit in the evening 🌿

There’s still a giant pile of tat to get rid of 😅 but honestly it was so nice just spending time together at home without being on the clock, rushing somewhere or having work to do.

I don’t think I’ve had a proper reset day like that in a very long time ✨

Hope everyone else had a lovely long Bank Holiday weekend ❤️

✨ We’ve had a fun weekend packed with creativity at the studio!

Yesterday I finished my latest resin clock, we had our Sand Painting activity running, and Kai had a brilliant time trying out the children’s version 💛

The stencils from the adult kits have also turned out to be great for painting too - which is what we’ve got going on in the studio today 🎨

Just a little note that we’ll be closing slightly earlier today (around 3pm) - apologies for any inconvenience!

Okay.. I am in love with how this one came out 😍
Tried a different technique with the colours and I couldn't be happier with the result!

Now available in the studio and I will be adding it to the website during the week 🥰

✨ All set up for today’s Sand Painting activity ✨

We’ve got colourful peel-and-stick designs for younger children, plus stencils, canvases and extra creative freedom for older children and adults too 🌈

Paint with the sand, use the stencils, get creative and best of all… minimal mess 😅 No paint-covered clothes with this one!

And even better - the children’s designs are double-sided, so once they’ve finished their sand art they can flip them over and colour in the back too ✨

The easy squeeze tubes make it really accessible and fun for all ages 💛

Drop-ins welcome throughout the day ✨ Perfect if you’re visiting the Truck Show at Stonham Barns this weekend and fancy a little creative break in the shade.
