Ghost signs of Stoke Newington Trail!👻

The Stoke Newington Heritage Mural Project explores the area’s radical and literary past through poetry, heritage and art - bringing hidden histories back into public view.

What began in Autumn 2015 is now growing into a large typographic mural overlooking the William Patten Primary School playground, drawing inspiration from “ghost signs” - those faded Victorian adverts still lingering on brick walls across the neighbourhood.

Alongside the mural, a Ghostsign Trail has been created with White Wall Yellow Door; an illustrated map, drawing activities, and prompts that guide you through the area’s layered visual history.

More public engagement activities are still in the works and will be announced soon.

We loved working with the team at St Nicholas Priory on a refreshed version of their Brass Rubbings Trail ✨

As Exeter’s oldest building—and one of the oldest of its kind in the country—it’s such a special place to explore (and one kids always seem to love).

They’re open this half term and excited to welcome visitors—everyone is welcome!

Visit their website for booking info and to discover the other activities we’ve created together.

Huge thank you to for the beautiful illustrations, and for the support 🤍

If you can, help us spread the word!

Summer 2018 — we were commissioned to create a Kids’ Guide for the Floating Cinema 🎬🚤

A real cinema set on a working barge, travelling along the Grand Union Canal in Milton Keynes, hosting screenings on-board and along the banks — all exploring what “home” means. ✨

We developed a 12-page activity guide alongside a standalone A4 sheet, filled with writing, drawing, and conversation prompts. Designed for children and their families, the guide invites reflection on everything from the barge’s design and construction to the idea of home itself.

An award-winning project originally commissioned by UP Projects and designed by Duggan Morris Architects!

Our last job before the first lockdown was a fantastic commission from The Petrie Museum of Egyptian Archaeology, to produce character illustrations of some of the many people who have played an instrumental part in the history of the collection.

The drawings, by the brilliant really bring the characters to life and will be used to illustrate future guides, activities and trails.

Thanks to for the commission. We are excited to be unveiling the nine characters, and look forward to seeing the them in the museum, when it reopens!

And thanks to for acting as consultant on the historical costume!

We partnered with , and artist Stephen Turner, to produce a 12 page illustrated guide to co-incide with a UK tour of The Exbury Egg. The guide features drawing and writing activities designed to help children and families engage with some of the ideas behind the Exbury Egg.

The first leg of the tour was at Trinity Buoy Wharf in January 2017. As further incentive for families to visit the exhibition, we partnered with local eateries Fat Boy’s Diner and Bow Creek Cafe to offer visitors to the exhibition a free food or drink voucher.

For more information on The Exbury Egg please visit the White Wall Yellow Door website! (Link in bio).
