Future Events: Friends of The Ironbridge Gorge Museum The Friends organisation was founded in 1969 to support the work of the museum.

This organisation ceased when the National Trust began operation of the museum sites but a new Friends organisation is being formed to support the National Trust.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Following the transfer of the Ironbridge Gorge Museum Trust's assets to The National Trust on 2nd March 2026 it has been decided to close this page at the end of April 2026.

Our private "Friends of the Ironbridge Gorge Museum" will continue to operate and you are invited to apply to join but you will be required to answer membership questions before your application can be approved.

The title of this page has now been changed to emphasise "Future Events".
