As our Art for All children’s exhibition comes to a close, we just want to say how much joy this experience has brought us. From the very first piece hung on the wall to the final day, it’s been full of colour, creativity, and so many proud moments.

The absolute highlight? Seeing the children’s faces light up as they spotted their own artwork on display. The excitement, the confidence, the pure happiness — it’s something we’ll never forget.

Thank you to all the amazing young artists who shared their creativity with us, and to everyone who came along to support them. You’ve made this exhibition truly special.

Our people's choice award winners were:

1st place Taela with Buzz of Spring
2nd place Eserina with Sping Mountain
3rd place Lois with Mater of the eggs
4th place Meadow grey with Spring Blossoms

Until next time… keep creating

These Artillery Shells, new in from Sam Peacock, are definite standout pieces here at Primrose Gallery

These distinctive pieces transform brass artillery shells into elegant and thought-provoking decorative vessels, reimagined for contemporary home use.

The surface has been carefully painted with oils, and coffee grinds then set on fire, resulting in a rich, layered patina that echoes the tonal depth seen in many of his other works.

These are one-of-a-kind original artworks, thoughtfully crafted and presented—an evocative piece designed to bring character, history, and artistic depth into any interior space.

Artist Spotlight: Sam Peacock

Inspired by rural and coastal landscapes, Sam Peacock
reimagines the boundaries of traditional landscape
painting. Working on sheets of steel, he combines
oil-based paints, varnishes, coffee grains, and raw
materials to create richly textured pieces—each palette
drawn from a single, meaningful location.

Over the past two decades, Peacock has refined a
distinctive process, replacing the paintbrush with rollers
and blowtorches to explore the dynamic relationship
between colour, light, and surface. His works shift and
evolve with their environment, offering an
ever-changing visual experience.

From intimate gallery exhibitions to large-scale
installations, his practice continues to push
contemporary art forward. Notably, his recent 8-meter
public installation in central London uses reflected light
across steel to create a living, breathing landscape.

We’re proud to showcase a body of work that
challenges convention and captures the essence of
place in such a powerful way.

Emma Saul Ceramics

Emma Saul’s rustic hand-built ceramics celebrate the landscapes they come from, crafted in her small pottery studio using local clays and natural glazes.

Some pieces feature deep, dark blue glazes that evoke the depth of oceans and evening skies, while others include delicate willow details, adding movement and life to each form.

Every piece is one-of-a-kind, full of texture, character, and the “happy accidents” that make her work so unique. More than objects, these ceramics are a tactile connection to the spirit of the land.

Perfect for lovers of art, nature, and meaningful handmade pieces.

Artist Spotlight: Emma Saul

Emma Saul is a Northamptonshire-based artist whose experimental paintings and ceramics explore our deep emotional connection to the land. Her work captures the spirit of landscapes — from the pull of the ocean to the quiet calm or nostalgia certain places evoke — and reflects the stories, memories, and ancestral ties that connect us to the earth.

Trained in Creative Arts and Printmaking at Bath Spa University (2002), Emma works instinctively, favoring direct application onto canvas, paper, or wood. She embraces spontaneity and the unexpected, finding beauty in “happy accidents” that cannot be recreated.

In recent years, Emma has developed a small pottery studio alongside her painting practice. Here she creates rustic hand-built ceramics using local clays and natural glazes, celebrating the landscapes they are born from and continually exploring the endless possibilities of this medium.

Her work invites viewers to connect with the essence of place, bridging personal experience and collective memory through colour, texture, and form.

Artist Spotlight: Amy Louise

Amy Louise is known for her vibrant animal portraits, instantly recognisable for their bold colours and playful personalities. Her distinctive style first captured collectors’ attention in 2017 with a flamboyant gang of flamingos, inspired by her background in fashion design and their catwalk-like confidence.

Since then, Amy’s characters have evolved into a whole cast of expressive animals, each with their own personality and story. Over the years they’ve taken on lives of their own — appearing in beauty pageants, holidaying in sunglasses and charming collectors across galleries throughout the country.

More recently, Amy’s inspiration has come from family life, particularly her daughter Robyn and son Charlie. This shift has brought a new warmth to her work, with many pieces celebrating family, love and the joyful moments found in everyday life.

Amy hand-embellishes every limited edition print, ensuring each piece has its own unique character — just like the animals she paints.
