Delighted to reveal the second edition of wur Coo's Tail Caithness Jigsaw!
🧩💛🤩
New for 2026, it has been beautifully illustrated especially for us by the fab Catherine Redgate , who is originally from Caithness.
This 1000 piece jigsaw features loads of local landmarks, some sealife and scorries, wur county flag, wild flora and fauna, groatie buckies, and historic sites (including a broch, if you like that sort of thing...) We hope you all love it!
🤩💛🧩
The first batch of Jigsaw no.2 is on the way and due to arrive next week, just in time for the dark nights, and in plenty of time for Christmas!
Last year we could not keep them in stock, so we have ordered more this time, but if you really want to be sure to get one, you can contact us to reserve yours now!
🧩💛🤩
They are £24.00 each, and we can post out in the UK as required.

(Sorry for mentioning the C word!🙈)
✍️✉️📮
Here's a sneak peek at this year's design.
✍️✉️📮
As there's no way I can handprint about 1000 cards, (not without an injury or a nervous breakdown🤣) after handprinting the image, I then scan it onto my iPad, tidy it up a wee bit digitally, create some different coloured versions and then send send the files to my fab card printers.
✍️✉️📮
The cards will all be printed in Scotland, on gorgeous textured watercolour card which gives them a lovely luxe finish.
😍
Will post as soon as they are available in store, should be by the end of October.

HERE BIY! Wur 2027 calendar o' Caithness Wordies is hot aff ey presses an' oot on wur shelves!
🖤💛💙
(No, I'm not ready for it nearly being 2027 either!🙈 )
As every year, it has a whole new set of wur favourite Caithness words and phrases. But this year, we've made it a bit bigger too, so there's loads of room (a whole page per month) for you to write all those birthdays, appointments and special dates.
They make a great pressie and we know loads get sent south and overseas to those with connections to the county. Definitely a conversation starter that will raise a smile all year long.
📆✍️
They've been flying out the door already, so pop into the shop to pick up yours, or give us a message and we can post one out to you!
🖤💛💙📆
Massive thanks to the super talented Allistair Eat Haggis, for all his help in designing this calendar!
🙌😁

Delighted to have EVEN MORE Caithness art cards available in store! 🥳 This week we launched these beautiful cards by local artist and Coo's Tail crew member Deirdre Cameron. Deirdre Cameron Art
🖊️✉️😊
The cards are designed in Caithness, printed in Scotland and blank for your own message, so suitable for any occasion. The recipient can leave them up for much longer than a standard birthday card for example, or even pop them in a wee frame.
🖊️✉️😊
There are eight different landscape designs, each featuring one of Deirdre's stunning panoramic artworks.
We've wrapped the image right round the back of the card too, making these cards a wee bit special.
Send a wee bit of Caithness and make someone smile.
🖊️✉️😊
Which one is your favourite? 💛🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

This week we've had a bumper delivery of cards and prints from Caithness artist Jane McDonough!🤩
🖼️👩‍🎨
Jane's work captures the wild landscape of the far North beautifully. Her skies can be dramatic and turbulent, dark and moody, or bright, soft and peaceful, the weather reflecting our own shifting feelings. Her work is sought after, with her paintings selling out every year at the Society of Caithness Artists' Exhibition.
🖼️👩‍🎨
We have a fab selection of her cards, mounted prints, and large prints just arrived, including new work, we can't wait to get some of these framed and in our window! Pop in for a look, or if you'd like to grab one for yourself 😊
Open as usual 10am-5pm Tuesday to Saturday 😁💛
