Chartwell Commission - Sir Winston Churchill Equestrian Sculpture at Chartwell House Chartwell NT

We were honoured to be commissioned by the Chartwell to create a 3/4 life-size racehorse sculpture for Chartwell, the family home of Sir Winston Churchill.

Created as a tribute to Colonist II, the sculpture was shaped entirely by eye in steel and finished in a refined zinc patina, selected to age with quiet dignity. Rather than a formal memorial, the work was conceived as a calm, natural presence—rooted in place, history, and restraint.

Although our work now travels internationally, creating sculpture for Chartwell held particular meaning for us, reconnecting contemporary craftsmanship with British heritage. Seeing the piece experienced by thousands of visitors over the Christmas period was quietly rewarding, offering a more personal connection to Churchill’s life beyond politics.

A version of this sculpture is now available for acquisition by a private collector. Further details via the link.

If you can imagine it, it can be created. Where Imagination Becomes Form.
Bronze has the rare ability to belong anywhere — resting quietly among the softness of an English country garden, or standing with confidence against the architectural planting of a refined American landscape.

In this new body of work, Charles Elliott creates sculptures that respond to their surroundings — shaped by vision, grounded by craft, and finished to evolve with light, climate and time.
Whether framed by ancient trees, open skies, or sculpted planting, each piece settles naturally into place.
This is sculpture without borders — imagined anywhere, crafted to endure everywhere.

From the ashes of a ten-year era, something enduring emerges.
Steel — oxidised, weathered, and unapologetically permanent — a material that holds its ground as time moves around it.
In this transition, Charles Elliott redefines his sculptural language, allowing steel to speak with warmth, depth and quiet authority.

Alongside his steel glowing spheres, bronze enters the conversation — richer, warmer, evolving slowly with light and atmosphere.
Together, these materials form a new era of sculpture: grounded, intentional, and made to last far beyond a lifetime.
Not decoration, but transformation — works that change the way your world feels.

NEW Era, True luxury endures.
Bronze and steel have always spoken the language of permanence — materials capable of holding emotion, atmosphere and memory.
In this new body of Bronze work, Charles Elliott explores form as feeling, creating sculptures that anchor a space and give it weight and meaning.
To live with one is to experience a quiet shift — a sense of balance, calm and intention that remains long after the first moment.

Christmas at comes with a special commission this year…
The National Trust invited us to create a one-off sculpture inspired by Colonist, Churchill’s beloved grey mare.

Standing in his home, surrounded by festive lights and history, I couldn’t help but imagine Churchill himself settling into his armchair, cigar in hand, giving this piece a slow approving nod… perhaps even saying she looks just as she did on the gallops.

This unique sculpture will be available to acquire after Christmas — a little piece of Chartwell magic.

After 10 years of creating sculpture under Elliott of London, it feels the right moment to embrace change.

Our journey has been one of expansion, refinement, and constant development — and today we are proud to reveal our new identity: Charles Elliott Sculpture.

This name reflects not only the craftsmanship and creativity at the heart of our work, but also the evolution of a studio that has grown from humble beginnings into an internationally recognised creator of sculpture.

The brand may look different, but our values remain unchanged:
🔹 British-made artistry
🔹 Traditional techniques, modern vision
🔹 Sculpture that connects people with nature, heritage, and place

We’re excited to welcome you into this next chapter — and to continue forging works of art that will be enjoyed for generations.

Greyhounds Racing Sculpture 🐾🔥🇬🇧

Commissioned by a client with a passion for both greyhounds and horse racing, this piece was all about capturing movement. The brief wasn’t just to make a sculpture – it was to create the feeling of speed, energy, and life frozen in steel.

Each greyhound is shaped and forged entirely by hand, which means no two will ever be alike. Every curve, every line, carries the marks of the forge and the eye of the maker – making this sculpture a true one-of-one.

Crafted from mild steel and finished in a protective zinc galvanisation, it’s built not only to impress today, but to last. With the right care, this artwork will be standing strong and admired for over 100 years – a legacy piece to be passed down through generations of the family who commissioned it.

From passion, to metal, to timeless art.
