We are delighted to introduce a new open edition print of Roger Dean’s Freyja’s Castle — a deeply personal and historically significant work painted on 16th September 1987.

The painting takes its name from Roger’s daughter Freyja, who was born on the very same day. Reflecting on the artwork, Roger recalls:
“I was waiting to be called to the hospital as I finished it.”

Originally created for Henk Rogers — the visionary game publisher later known worldwide for securing the rights to Tetris — the artwork was used for the game Super Black Onyx. Decades later, Henk Rogers’ remarkable story reached a new audience through the recent film Tetris, starring Taron Egerton.

With its dreamlike blue architecture, dramatic landscape and unmistakable atmosphere, Freyja’s Castle captures Roger Dean’s ability to blend fantasy, storytelling and emotion into a single image.
This new open edition print is produced on beautiful 155 lb (330 gsm) Somerset Velvet paper, with a paper size of 23.4” x 16.5” (A2) and an approximate image size of 21” x 14”.
Available now from the Roger Dean Gallery at Trading Boundaries — the UK home of Roger Dean’s art.

We are proud to present Roger Dean’s iconic Asia Dragon — one of the most recognisable images in progressive rock history.

Originally created for ASIA’s groundbreaking debut album in the early 1980s, the dragon became an enduring symbol of the band and remains closely associated with their visual identity to this day. Roger Dean not only designed the legendary album cover artwork, but also created multiple variations of the ASIA logo and imagery across several of the band’s releases throughout their career. Roger continues to work closely with ASIA on new creative projects today, continuing a collaboration that has now spanned decades.

Combining power, elegance and fantasy, the Asia Dragon stands as one of Roger Dean’s most celebrated creations, bridging the worlds of music and fine art in a way few artists ever have.

This stunning artwork is now available from the Roger Dean Gallery at Trading Boundaries as a signed open edition print, offering collectors and fans the opportunity to own one of the defining images of classic progressive rock.

We are pleased to present Premonitions — a remarkable Roger Dean image created from two separate works of art, brought together to form the cover artwork for Steve Hackett’s box set Premonitions: The Charisma Recordings 1975–1983.

The landscape itself originates from Roger Dean’s monumental 6ft x 4ft original canvas titled Oak in Spring, a vast and atmospheric composition that captures the dreamlike natural worlds for which Dean is renowned. Combined with this is Cicada — the striking craft and solitary figure that appear within the foreground of the piece.

While Premonitions is now available as an open edition print, Cicada is also available separately as a signed limited edition print in its own right, allowing collectors to appreciate the detail and design of the iconic craft independently from the larger composition.
Together, these works perfectly demonstrate Roger Dean’s unique ability to merge landscape, imagination and narrative into a single visual universe — imagery that continues to resonate across both the art and music worlds.
Available from the Roger Dean Gallery at Trading Boundaries, the UK home of Roger Dean’s art.

We’re pleased to present Osibisa: Loxodonta Africana by Roger Dean, a striking limited-edition print rooted in both art and music history.

This image originally appeared on the front cover of the album The Very Best of Osibisa, released by the legendary Afro-rock band Osibisa in 2009. The work features an exuberant elephant’s face adorned with vivid, chameleon-like markings — a bold and celebratory visual that captures the spirit of the band and Dean’s imaginative style.

The edition is strictly limited, with only 175 prints plus 17 artist’s proofs, each produced on high-quality paper and hand-signed by Roger Dean himself.

Osibisa: Loxodonta Africana bridges the worlds of iconic album art and fine art print collecting, making it a compelling addition for both music enthusiasts and collectors of Dean’s visionary work.

We’re delighted to present Flights of Icarus by Roger Dean, a remarkable limited-edition print with a unique place in art and publishing history.

Flights of Icarus was originally used as the cover image for the influential 1977 art book of the same name, a landmark publication that helped define the visual language of fantasy and science-fiction art at the time.

What makes this edition truly special is that every one of the 1,000 prints is unique. Rather than being identical reproductions, each print comes from an original animation sequence created by Roger Dean. Together, the full edition forms a complete frame-by-frame animated journey — meaning each print is effectively a still from a larger moving artwork.

The print is hand-signed, strictly limited, and available in two sizes, offering collectors the choice of scale while retaining the individuality of each piece.
Available now to view and purchase at The Trading Boundaries Gallery.

Roger Dean Fly From Here - Fine Art Print
Trading Boundaries Gallery is pleased to present Fly From Here by Roger Dean, available as a limited edition fine art print.

Originally created for the cover of YES’s Fly From Here album, this work brings together decades of Dean’s visual language: expansive landscapes, organic architecture and a sense of movement that has become synonymous with his practice. Elements of the composition trace back to paintings developed in the 1970s, later resolved into the finished work completed between 2009 and 2011, giving the image both historical depth and contemporary clarity.

The print was also featured in the Fly From Here limited edition box set, underscoring its significance within Dean’s wider body of work and its enduring relevance to collectors.

Produced as a combined giclée and silkscreen print on 425gsm Waterford paper, Fly From Here is hand-signed and numbered by the artist. The edition is strictly limited, making it a rare opportunity to acquire an important example of Roger Dean’s later period.

For availability and further details, please contact the gallery or visit Trading Boundaries.

Arches I — Roger Dean (Limited Edition Fine Art Print) a limited-edition print by Roger Dean, originally created for Keys to Ascension, the 1997 release by the legendary progressive-rock group Yes.

Featuring the classic lineup of Jon Anderson, Chris Squire, Steve Howe, Rick Wakeman, and Alan White, the album marked an important moment of reunion for the band and a celebrated return to their symphonic, exploratory sound.

This fine-art edition of Arches I is produced on premium 240 lb Somerset textured paper and is hand-signed, titled, and numbered by the artist, ensuring provenance. Presented at 34″ × 26″, the print captures the architectural elegance and atmospheric depth that define Dean’s visionary landscapes imagery that has long been intrinsic to Yes’s visual identity.

While conceived as album artwork, Arches I stands independently as a remarkable example of Dean’s unique style: serene, meticulously balanced, and evocative of worlds both ancient and imagined. Its association with Keys to Ascension, a pivotal recording that reunited five of Yes’s most influential members, further enhances the collectability and cultural importance of this print.

We invite collectors and admirers of both fine art and music history to contact Trading Boundaries for viewing or acquisition enquiries.

BADGER, by Roger Dean re-imagined in 2017 as a strictly limited-edition fine art print (edition of 250 + 25 proofs).

Created with the same care and artistic integrity that has defined Dean’s career, the print rests on high-quality 300 gsm paper, sized 53 × 92 cm — a scale that captures both the grandeur and subtlety of the original.

While originally conceived as the cover for the 1973 album 'One Live Badger' by British rock band Badger, The band was founded by keyboardist Tony Kaye after he left Yes, along with bassist and vocalist David Foster. The album was produced by Jon Anderson (Yes) and engineer Geoffrey Hallam (Velvet Underground, Bette Midler, Gill Scot Heron and Yes) The cover artwork has transcended its musical roots: today it stands as a beloved piece of visual art, coveted by collectors worldwide.

We invite you to view this beautiful print in our gallery or contact us for purchase enquiries, a rare opportunity to acquire a limited print that bridges the world of progressive-rock heritage and fine art excellence.
