We’re also delighted to say that Sue and Mark have both also been nominated individually in recognition of all the incredible work that they do.

Not Stratford or Bromsgrove - best place to live in the Midlands has been named as The Malverns 🏆

The scenic area beat well-known contenders including Stratford-upon-Avon, Bromsgrove and Lichfield, all overlooked this year by the Sunday Times in its prestigious Best Places to Live list for 2026. Judges travelled the country assessing cities, towns and villages based on schools, transport, green spaces and high streets 🌱

The area features towns and villages around the spectacular Malvern Hills. It offers one of the most picturesque settings in the region for those who can afford to live there 🏡

Judges praised the location's appeal, saying: "The Malverns offer a majestic setting, elegant towns and villages, and a rousing cultural scene that goes far beyond the inevitable Elgar connections."

They highlighted the area's jobs, shops, cafés, restaurants and rail links. The judges also noted spectacular walks on bracken-clad hills and mighty views across to Wales and the Severn Plain 🌄

The area was particularly praised as "a cultural powerhouse" thanks to its festivals and theatres. This includes the recent reopening of the world's smallest theatre: the Theatre of Small Convenience, housed in a former public lavatory.

Well deserved 💚

We were delighted to welcome members of the South Worcestershire Archaeological Group (SWAG) to the Tudor House Museum today 🏺✨

After a fascinating walk around Upton led by Jim, the group enjoyed a traditional tea in the garden before exploring the museum and sharing their passion for local history and archaeology.

SWAG will be back at the museum this Saturday showcasing some of their fascinating finds, so do pop in and take a look if you’re nearby 🤍

What a wonderful weekend we had at the Upton Folk Festival 🎶

Our final concert in the garden was one to remember with every seat taken and people happily standing to soak up the atmosphere!

All of our homemade goodies were enjoyed too… with just one slice of banana cake left, which was very fittingly claimed by our birthday volunteer 🎂

A huge thank you to everyone who came along to enjoy the performances and workshops, and of course to our fantastic volunteers who made it all possible.

Here are a few photos from a very special weekend ✨
