Grateful doesn’t even begin to cover it 🤍 Thank you to every customer who supports us, shops with us, and believes in what we do. We couldn’t do this without you. Also, thank you to the 150+ artists who have exhibited with us this year. We are open one more day this year (Christmas Eve) and then will be taking a break until the new year. See you all in 2026.

I did my very first bit of Christmas shopping yesterday at the fantastic . This gallery is stuffed full of tempting things to suit every budget and is well worth a visit - you'll certainly find something special and help out several independent businesses at the same time 🙂. My 'Watchet' watercolour is also available to buy there, so please do pop in next time you're in Wells and take a look!

✨ New Arrival at A2 Gallery, Wells ✨
We’re delighted to welcome a stunning new Red Deer Stag sculpture by Somerset sculptor George Hider — now available for sale at A2 Gallery.
Crafted entirely from reclaimed steel, this magnificent piece captures the grace and strength of one of Britain’s most iconic animals. Every curve and swirl of metal tells a story of transformation — from discarded scrap to living form.
George says:
“I don’t like waste of any kind. I was brought up to make do and mend... It was during my time in an engineering environment that I realised my ability to see sculptural material and shapes amongst the metal bound for the scrap bin. By welding together pieces carefully chosen from this discarded steel, I began to create simple sculptural forms. Over the years, I’ve developed this aptitude to make my sculptures increasingly more lifelike — striving to capture the character of the animals and birds which unwittingly model for me.”
