Ar gael nawr yn Llyfrgelloedd Powys ac wedi'i ariannu gan Lywodraeth Cymru ac Adnodd, mae project Rhyngom yn dathlu amrywiaeth, diwylliant a hanes cyfoethog Cymru. Ei nod yw:

• meithrin sgiliau empathi mewn dysgwyr
• cefnogi iechyd a lles plant a phobl ifanc
• tanio dychymyg a chreadigrwydd dysgwyr

Now available at Powys Libraries and funded by the Welsh Government and Adnodd, the project celebrates the rich diversity, culture, and history of Wales. It aims to:

• foster empathy skills in learners
• support the health and wellbeing of children and young people
• ignite learners' imagination and creativity

Welshpool Litter Picking Hub returns to its permanent home!

Individuals, families, community groups and businesses can borrow everything they need to carry out safe clean-ups, including litter pickers, hoops, hi-vis vests and bin bags.

NEWS: Young people invited to volunteer with Powys libraries this summer

Young people aged 14 - 25 are being asked to volunteer as part of this year's Summer Reading Challenge.

Volunteers will be based in their local Powys library and will support families taking part in the challenge by helping children sign up, choose books, track their progress and get involved in activities linked to the theme. The role also includes helping to create displays, prepare resources for activity sessions and support library events.

Mae Llyfrgelloedd Powys yn paratoi ar gyfer haf cyffrous wrth iddynt lansio ymgyrch recriwtio ar gyfer Gwirfoddolwyr Sialens Ddarllen yr Haf eleni. Mae'r sialens flynyddol, a ddatblygwyd gan yr Asiantaeth Ddarllen, yn annog miloedd o blant i ddarganfod llawenydd darllen yn ystod gwyliau'r ysgol.

Mae'r thema eleni, ""Cyfrolau’n Canu, yn dathlu cerddoriaeth, rhythm a chreadigrwydd—gan wahodd plant 4–11 oed i archwilio straeon sy'n ysbrydoli dychymyg a symudiad.

Mae llyfrgelloedd ledled Powys yn cynnig cyfle i bobl ifanc rhwng 14 a 25 oed i gymryd rhan. Bydd gwirfoddolwyr yn chwarae rôl allweddol yn cefnogi plant a theuluoedd wrth iddynt gofrestru, dewis llyfrau, a chymryd rhan mewn gweithgareddau hwyliog trwy gydol yr haf.

Nid oes angen unrhyw brofiad blaenorol, a darperir cefnogaeth ac arweiniad llawn. Bydd gwirfoddolwyr rhwng 16 a 25 oed yn derbyn gwiriad DBS manwl am ddim a drefnir gan y cyngor.

Powys Libraries are gearing up for an exciting summer as they launch recruitment for this year’s Summer Reading Challenge Volunteers. The annual challenge, developed by The Reading Agency, encourages thousands of children to discover the joy of reading during the school holidays.

This year’s theme, “Read to the Beat”, celebrates music, rhythm, and creativity - inviting children aged 4–11 to explore stories that inspire imagination and movement.

Libraries across Powys are offering young people aged 14–25 the opportunity to get involved. Volunteers will play a key role in supporting children and families as they sign up, choose books, and take part in fun activities throughout the summer.

No previous experience is needed, and full support and guidance will be provided. Volunteers aged 16–25 will receive a free Enhanced DBS check arranged by the council.
