It’s not often we use the “Jackson” range from our friends but this Alex Turner print was crying out for it. Direct from Barcelona it came across the desk and there was only one option. It’s a bit out there but with the right image, it looks as good as you do on the dance floor.

3-D Box Framing (part 3)
If you’ve ever wondered how you frame an odd shaped, 1980’s Las Vegas gaming machine sign to make it look like it’s it floating in a solid black frame, we finally have the answer. Magic powers!
Not quite, but this did take a lot of thought, a few experiments and a hell of a lot of cleaning. But we got there in the end. These look amazing with a backlight and sit perfectly on a bookshelf, fireplace or any other straight surface. This is one of three we have framed for our customer who clearly has an eye for super cool retro design.

3-D Box Framing (no. 2)
This is the 8th porcelain poppy we have framed over the past few years and they never look anything other than stunning. Each of the poppies is an individual artwork with different heights, widths and depths. We never use plastic kit frames so we never have an issue making a totally bespoke frame to fit each poppy to perfection.

3-D Box Frame (part 1)
We’ve had a bit of a mad run on 3-D box framing over the past few weeks. This meter long scarf was brought back from Japan by a customer who headed out there alone to see the final performance by one of Japans greatest ever wrestlers. Nicely framed in a deep rebate black frame using only minimal contact adhesives. Great bit of memorabilia.
We’ve framed everything from Formula 1 racetrack pieces to pristine Star Wars figures over the past two decades. We’re always up for a challenge so whatever you have, bring it in and we’ll see what we can do.

It’s Wednesday night, it’s time to see our friends
A few of us took the plunge last week and despite not attending a life drawing class for over 30 years, the results were somewhat surprising. An amazing experience with a totally relaxed environment. The life models were great to work with, the room was perfectly set up and even the soundtrack was interesting, apart from the odd Dido track! If you have ever fancied trying a life drawing session we cannot recommend this class enough. Totally non-judgmental, ridiculously relaxed, the perfect group for anyone trying life drawing for the first time, or the 50th time. And the wine was decent too…..always a bonus.

Our February “Martin House” numbers are in and we’re delighted to announce that despite taking a week off, in the shortest month of the year, we still managed to make and deliver 102 frames. That equates to a £102 donation to our friends
Thanks to our amazing customers, both new and returning, we have raised £234 so far this year which keeps us well on track for our intended goal of £2000 for the year. Thanks again for your continued support.

We have a few changes to our opening hours over the next few days while I take this beautiful assortment of analogue cameras to the west coast of the west coast of Ireland to shoot a film for five days with Dr. Dawn will be in from 9.30 until 1pm on Saturday 31st for collections and book ins. We are closed as usual on Sunday and Monday with Lauri kindly stepping in on Tuesday from 10 - 3 (ish). We’re closed Wednesday and Thursday and reopen as usual on Friday 6th at 9.30am.

Say hello to our 2026 gallery curator. Lauri from has been one of the stand out artists we have worked with over the past few years and her energy and enthusiasm made it a very simple offer to hand her the keys to the gallery for the coming year. With the framing side getting busier by the day, it made sense to hand over the day to day running of the gallery space to someone with ideas and passion. Lauri will be launching her first exhibition on Saturday 17th January from 12 noon - 6pm in our freshly painted gallery on Church Street, right in the heart of Wetherby. She will being hosting a range of exhibitions throughout the year as well as offering demonstrations, meet the artist days and anything else she can pack into space we have.
Any artists who may like to be considered as part of this years programme can DM Lauri.
We look forward to working together and can’t wait to see what she has planned.

We are delighted to announce that our chosen charity for 2026 is Martin House Children’s Hospice. After meeting with Beth from the fundraising team, we decided to do something slightly different this year. Rather than donating £1 for each customer we serve, we decided to donate £1 for every frame we make. We’re hoping to raise over £2500 throughout the year and your ongoing support will help us raise this. We will be posting monthly updates showing our progress and despite only being back for three days we’re off to a great start.
