🏳️🌈 Dare to be yourself. Dare to belong. Dare to make history.
It's Pride month and a chance to celebrate the stories, achievements and contributions of LGBTQ+ people throughout history - including many people whose lives and legacies are connected to Brooklands.
Over the coming weeks, we'll be sharing the stories of remarkable trailblazers including Roberta Cowell, Joe Carstairs, Janet Gulland and others who challenged expectations, lived authentically and left their mark on history.
As part of Pride Month, we're also delighted to support the Royston Pike Lecture Series at 7:30pm on 17 June at Riverhouse Barn Arts Centre, Walton-on-Thames, where heritage consultant Sue Shave will present Q***r Heritage Trailblazers - an inspiring talk exploring LGBTQ+ figures who helped shape the world around us including many from Brooklands.

Because the story of Brooklands isn't just about speed and flight - it's about people. People who dared to think differently, live differently and change what was possible.
