SEALINK AT WEYMOUTH HARBOUR 🚢
A reminder of a time when Weymouth Harbour was a busy working port, with no fewer than five Sealink vessels moored there at the same time.
The scene attracted plenty of attention. The vessels were Sarnia, Caesarea, Earl Godwin, Maid of Kent and Caledonian Princess.
In fact, the sight of so many large vessels together even prompted the owner of a property in Trinity Road (who perhaps should have known better!) to complain that their presence had caused sea levels to rise and led to flooding at his property! 🌊😄
A fascinating glimpse into Weymouth’s maritime past.
