What a wonderful end to the 2026 Open Day Season. The sun shone and we had lots of visitors. Sadly there was not enough wind for the sails to turn but we were delighted to welcome the Wheatley Morris Dancers who gave a lively performance to an enthusiastic audience 🥰

We would like to thank all those who have supported our open days this year and look forward to seeing you in 2027.

Exciting to see and hear the Wheatley Morris Dancers as they performed for the first time yesterday at various locations in the village. The video clip is of an old traditional Wheatley dance called ..... the Wheatley Windmill 😁

A lovely surprise to be given this video by John Tolson after his visit to the windmill open day earlier in the month. The windmill audience and Oxford Ukuleles Big Band are indeed 'Happy Together' ☺️

Sunday afternoon may have been sunny but it was not windy! Sadly this meant we could not turn the sails although the volunteers did demonstrate hanging the sailcloths to the frames of the sails.
