Welcoming International Visitors to Haig Pit! 🇩🇪⚒️

A few weeks ago, we had the absolute pleasure of welcoming Klaus-Georg Pauls from Germany to the Haig Colliery Heritage Centre!

It's always fantastic to see how far the story of Whitehaven's industrial heritage travels. Klaus-Georg took a tour around the site, explored our local mining history, and even picked up a Haig Colliery mug to take a piece of West Cumbrian history back home with him.

We had the absolute pleasure of hosting the talented members of Brass Band at Haig Colliery Heritage Centre this lunchtime!

There is nothing quite like live brass music echoing across our historic colliery grounds. A huge thank you to all the musicians who gave up their time to perform, and to everyone in the community who popped down to listen and support! ☕🎶
