Artist Spotlight — Joanna Taylor

There’s a wonderful sense of space and calm in Wondering Through Worlds Of Light.

Inspired by the landscapes and dramatic skies of the British countryside, Joanna Taylor uses layers of oil paint to create remarkable depth, drawing your eye across the landscape and towards the distant horizon.

Soft blues, warm earthy tones and touches of red come together beautifully in this impressive 100.4 × 100.4cm original.

Joanna now lives in Devon and finds much of her inspiration in Britain’s moorlands, with Dartmoor being a particular favourite for sketching clouds, changing skies and distant horizons.

There’s something incredibly atmospheric about The Storm Is Rolling In.

Joanna Taylor captures that familiar moment in the English countryside when the light begins to change, the clouds gather and you know the rain isn’t far away.
