Our AllChild mural projects are well underway with our fabulous Emily and freelance artist Kelly!💕

Designing and painting murals in our AllChild schools is perfect way to celebrate the end of the 2 year programme, as well as super exciting for the children to create a lasting piece of artwork in their school!🤩

We won't spoil the final designs so here's some mark making from the prep and planning sessions to give you a little preview. We can see from these early ideas the murals are going to be amazing!🙌✨

Slow Crafts Club presents Riot Girl badgemaking in the Holding Cell at the Bailiff Bar in The Old Courts!💥

The Riot Grrrl movement emerged in the early 1990s to address sexism in the punk scene. The movement believed in girls actively engaging in cultural production creating their own music fanzines rather than following existing materials.

In this DIY spirit we'll be making our own badges using up-cycled collage materials whilst giving you the chance to prioritise creativity, mindfulness and community.

Each ticket allows you to make 4 large badges (77mm) and 2 small badges (45mm).

No badge making experience required and all materials will be provided!

Can you help us launch a creative grief programme?

Born from our very own Emily’s experience of losing her wonderful Mum last year, we are raising funds to bring a twice monthly creative wellbeing programme to grievers in Wigan and beyond - free to attend, open to all. We were lucky to have Alicia join us at many creative sessions here at Everyday, so having her memory help to bring more creative joy to our community just feels right.

You can see more of Em and Alicia’s story through Mutti Tomatoes brilliant project, . Their shared love of Mutti has not only given Em an everyday reminder of her Mum’s belief that ‘working-class people deserve nice things’ but also provided the generous backing of Mutti Tomatoes and its marketing agency jellybean creative solutions for the creative grief programme! Later this year, with this donation we are launching our pilot creative wellbeing grief programme but we still need your help to get the full project running.

Grief is something most of us carry quietly. In many communities - including here in Wigan - there are no support groups that use creativity as a way of processing loss. A donation no matter what size helps us get one step closer to starting the programme, we understand that times are difficult right now financially, so even just sharing the GoFundMe makes a massive difference! Every pound raised goes directly towards running the twice monthly sessions - covering materials, facilitators, and keeping the space free and welcoming for all participants.

So please share far and wide and donate if you can, you can read more about the project plus Em and Alicia’s Mutti Love Story at the GoFundMe link here: https://gofund.me/654194166

A huge thank you to Mutti Tomatoes and jellybean creative solutions for sharing Em and Alicia’s story through Mutti Love Stories and being founding partners for our creative grief programme.
