Milton Keynes Museum celebrates the 1940's Event

Milton Keynes Museum celebrates the 1940's Event We are proud to present our 1940s weekend. This will be our 12 th wartime weekend and we are looking forward to another super event.

Enjoy the songs, dances and re-enactors of that fascinating era. See how people dressed, the food they ate, and life in general on THE HOME FRONT. Browse through the street of shops, but have you got your ration book? NO Rations at the Tea Rooms though with a lovely cup of rosie lee and Diane's delicious cakes. Don't 'KEEP MUM' about this event, it will be a blast!!!

We need rain! Hopefully not next weekend. Johnny and Lola came inside instead of being out In the rain last year for an impromptu performance! If it should rain there is always plenty going on inside the museum.

It's only 3 weeks way. It will be a bit different this year. We have new things for you to see. Some of our old friends have had to miss this year πŸ˜ͺ.But, we welcome some new ones! 😊. As always the whole museum will come alive and don't forget to check out the new galleries. Lola and Johnny will be on hand to entertain you and I believe the vintage tea room may have black market ingredients for chocolate cake! ( mum's the word) 🀫. If you have a pre 1950s car you would like to bring to display pop a post on here and I will get in touch. Hope to see you there 6/7th September. TTFN .

Who likes a flypast?? BBMF have confirmed today. Weather and air craft permitting we have a flypast on Sunday (7th September) from PA474 the Avro Lancaster. I believe she is going out of service for 12/18 months in October, so this is your opportunity to ' WISH HER LUCK WHILE YOU WAVE HER GOODBYE' and get lots of photos.

Due to clashing with several other much bigger events this year, we have space available for a couple of new display groups. As this is a homefront event, not German or Axis ( sorry). If anyone is interested is spending a nice weekend with us please get in touch through messenger. I also have two traders spaces due to retirement,if anyone is interested again please get in touch with details of the sort of things you sell. They are outdoor spaces and you would need to supply your own tent/ gazebo. Over to you!! πŸ˜ƒπŸ˜ƒ
