Saturdays 11am - 5pm
Sundays 2pm - 5pm. Admission Prices:

It's about time we brought up the PIAT.

On display in our Arnhem exhibition, this original Projector Infantry Anti-Tank was kindly loaned to us by Geoff Baulk, with a wonderful replica PIAT Bomb from the Cunning Artificer

Maligned for its short range and difficulty cocking the weapon, it proved effective in the right hands and provided lightly-equiped airborne troops with a vital anti-armour tool.

Have you seen our mini-exhibition, Postcards from the Frontline 1900 - 1945 yet?

From the humorous to the heartfelt, it's a look at the time-honoured tradition of sending a note home from the front, open until 6 November 2026.

This First World War postcard features the national flags of allied nations and a cheerful, patriotic poem about the the county regiment, The Oxfordshire & Buckinghamshire Light Infantry.

A little look behind the scenes at an object that should soon be making its way into our displays - an impressive bronze figure of an Oxfordshire Hussar, which was presented to Major James Mason when he retired from the Queens Own Oxfordshire Hussars in 1898.

The bronze was gifted by troop, but his 16 year Yeomanry career also saw him serve with and troops, and the detachment.
