Each cask carries something of its previous life, creating new possibilities as it meets the wh**ky.

For this latest release, our standard bearer has spent nine months finishing in Oloroso Hogshead.

With roots in southern Spain, these casks hold layers of dried fruit, nuttiness and spice. Already part of the original Tácnbora’s maturation story, this dedicated finish allows us to explore that influence further.

Bottled at 57.2% ABV, our new Limited Edition is available to purchase from today.

By experimenting with wood, we uncover new expressions of Tácnbora.

Our latest Limited Edition, Tácnbora Oloroso Hogshead Cask Finish, is now available to pre-order for Corenkyn and Corengyst members, ahead of its public release on 16 October.

Expect notes of chocolate, hazelnut and spice, followed by figs, cinder toffee and a warm finish of cedar and bitter cocoa.

Who is your community’s Standard Bearer?

Nominations open today for our second Tácnbora Tour and Awards, celebrating the people and groups who make a difference across the North East.

Tácnbora means ‘Standard Bearer’ in Old English, and we’re looking for those who carry that spirit into their communities today. The person who always brings people together, the volunteers who keep a much-loved group going, or someone whose kindness makes life a little better for others.

Following the inspiring stories shared during our first Tour, we’re ready to discover more of the people who make our region special. The 2027 awards will recognise both an individual and a community group for their contribution.

If someone comes to mind, help us tell their story. Nominate your community’s Standard Bearer and give them the recognition they deserve.

Some exciting news from our part of Northumbria…

St Cuthbert’s Way has been named by Lonely Planet as one of the best long-distance walks in the world for 2027.

And if you’re walking it, you’ll find Ad Gefrin right here on the route as you pass through Wooler.

The 62-mile trail from Melrose to the Holy Island of Lindisfarne takes you through a landscape deeply connected to St Cuthbert and the Golden Age of Northumbria.

It’s a route we’ve welcomed some familiar faces from too, with Ashley Banjo stopping off at Ad Gefrin during filming for BBC’s Pilgrimage.

A stop at Ad Gefrin is a chance to discover more about the world Cuthbert knew and the story of seventh-century Northumbria, before continuing towards the coast.

For our inaugural exhibition in Northumberland, The Biscuit Factory presents a three painterly collections that explore light and atmosphere, the everyday and the elemental. Contemporary works rooted in traditional techniques that provide an essence of the subject; capturing a mood, a moment, a memory.

Featuring artists: Paula Dunn, Garry Courtnell and Angelo Murphy.

Opening on Friday 23 October, with a Q&A with Paula Dunn: an intimate conversation over coffee with the artist about her process, practice, and inspiration.
