🎨 Great news! New contemporary art exhibitions 🎨

We are thrilled to announce that the Museum of Royal Worcester has been awarded Arts Council England funding for an exciting new two-year project, Under the Glaze: Re-viewing Worcester Porcelain's Art & Design.

This programme brings two incredible contemporary exhibitions to the museum, starting this autumn with Lisa Sheppy’s Ornament Unbound: Tissue Transferware Reframed (Sept 2026 – Jan 2027), which uses digital processes to revitalise Worcester’s pioneering tissue transfer-printing technique alongside live public demos.

Then, in March 2027, artist Matt J Smith will take over with a striking figurine installation exploring identity and culture, developed in partnership with former factory workers and local community groups.

Stay tuned for full exhibition details and event dates coming soon. 🖌️✨
