The exhibition is organised by the current Worcestershire Poet Laureate Paul Robert.

This week we'll be sad to say goodbye to Cristina Gardiner who is leaving to be able to focus on creating larger pieces in her home studio. We'll miss her and hope she'll visit often to catch up with us all. Here's a pic of one of Cristina's stunning artworks.

So I have created an ink line drawing version of my previously posted pencil drawing (River Barrow) as a basis for creating a zinc etching. I think this is around 4 days worth of drawing. There are still some matters to resolve before committing to the zinc plate - such as some values and I also have some areas where solid black is next to solid black and hatching next to hatching etc.
It's a relatively complex composition so if there are areas that are not working or obvious - let me know - before I commit to the plate.
I'm still re-reading the Ted Hughes Poem (River Barrow) which is full of imagery and atmosphere.
I guess - I've only got to draw it once more when transferring the image to to the plate.
Its currently pinned to the studio wall at the artists studios at Bevere Gallery.

Susan's exhibition 'Verse in Vision' is at Number 8 in Pershore until 29th April.
Open to view Monday to Saturday 10 to 4, and evenings when events/films are on.
