We’ve received some feedback regarding applications for the Open Exhibition.

Please don’t worry if you received a server error message during submission. File upload failures can occur due to a variety of reasons, including file size limits, format issues, server restrictions, network problems, or security rules.

Here are some common reasons why some files upload successfully while others do not:

File Size Limits: Web applications often restrict the maximum file size allowed for uploads. The upload may fail immediately or stop halfway without a clear message.

Format Issues: Unsupported file formats may be rejected by the server. For instance, an image upload feature may allow JPG and PNG files but reject HEIC or WEBP formats from modern smartphones. We recommend jpg, jpeg or PNG

Network Connectivity: Unstable or slow connections can interrupt uploads, especially for large files.

Browser Restrictions: Browsers impose upload limits and timeouts, which can cause uploads to fail.

Should you still have a problem submitting your application please contact us [email protected]

The system only accepts image files up to 2MB, and images must be uploaded as JPEGs. If your files are too large or in a different format, you may receive this error message.

You can easily resize your image via a resize image website it app. Such as Bulkresizephotos

All information relating to the application process is outlined in the Terms & Conditions. Please note that all application fees are non-refundable.

We are proud to present the work of Moira Wills was a Brighton-based printmaker specialising in hand-printed screen prints. The work will be on display for the next four weeks.

Her work is lively, colourful and full of joie de vivre. Dancing figures cavort across the domestic landscapes and sleeping lovers are oblivious to jealousies and intrigues. Soft painterly effects contrast with sharp hand-cut line work creating tension and depth to the images. She worked on small editions of individually signed and numbered copies. There is no original other than the print, only a drawing at the start. The work is built up in hand-cut stencils for each colour. These are screen-printed in layers of individually mixed inks over each other to form the image.

Moira graduated with a BA Hons in Fine Art at Camberwell School of Art and was an illustrator and part-time lecturer at Reigate School of Art.

A warm welcome to one of our guest artists for the next four weeks!

Woodgoodness Designs alos know as Bob Antonini, has a background in ecology and woodland conservation. Which has inspired his art over the years.

Bob is an abstract wood artist and uses a variety of media to create his pieces, including carving using a variety of equipment including knives, angle grinders, routers and chainsaws. He likes to upcycle found materials, such as driftwood, old groyne timbers, old posts and other ‘found’ natural wood to create his sculptures and artwork. Although predominantly a wood artist, Bob likes to also include metal, seaglass, and uses coloured resins, woodstains and scorching to add a unique and quirky embellishment to his work.

.lux is back! We know you love her gorgeous wire drawings, and so do we. So we are thrilled that she's back exhibiting with us for a while.

Drawing with wire.

Artist Sarah Luxford draws in the air with a single unbroken line of wire to create beautiful, elegant sculptures that resonates her passion for the natural world. Her intricate compositions illustrate not only her dexterity, but also her insightful eye and attention to detail. Sarah’s creativity reflects her vision of the endless potential of using a single medium, whilst the interplay of light and shadow adds depth and dimensions, breathing life into her sculptures.
