A slightly different Mystery Monday this week!

The original Yate Station was closed to passengers in [###X] and then completely decommissioned two years later... Does anyone know or remember either of these two dates?

Local newspapers reported the closure at the time, including a story about one Mr Taylor, a leading porter at the train station. He wistfully looked at the well-kept train station, the view along the road bridge, and the award-winning garden and wonderful flower display that once brightened passengers’ journeys...

Did you catch the last trains departing from Yate? Or do you remember admiring flowers along the road bridge at that time?
