The Quilt Collection

The Quilt Collection We're the collection of The Quilters' Guild of the British Isles, an educational charity founded in 1979.

The Quilters' Guild Collection sits at the heart of The Quilt Museum and Gallery which was Britain's first museum dedicated to quilt-making and textile arts. Sadly, the Quilt Museum and Gallery closed on 31st October 2015 as it was not financially viable to remain open. The Quilters’ Guild Collection continues to be held byThe Quilters' Guild of the British Isles, an educational charity founded in

1979. Our aim is to promote the crafts of patchwork, appliqué and quilting through lending to exhibitions of historic and contemporary textiles as well as creating our own touring exhibitions and offering public access to the Collection by appointment.
