Kavkaz Widow () is an electronic music producer, performance artist, dj, and the highest priest(ess) of Temple Of (). Originally from Tbilisi, Georgia, and based in Prague, they proudly carry the South Caucasus, Sephardic Jewish, Slavic and Balkan heritage.

With a background spanning folkloric forms and contemporary performance, including work with the Isadora Duncan Ensemble, they use movement and ritual to proudly display that q***rness and fluidity have always existed within folkloric traditions.

For him, “Q***r Deities” is an act of reclamation, reconnecting with her homeland they were separated from as a child: through ancestral mythology, sound, ritual and q***r embodiment.

For “Q***r Deities”, besides the dance performance, they also created an original music for the project: an electronic take on ceremonial and ritualistic sound with elements of traditional Caucasus percussion.

And We’re thrilled to be part of it with our long lasting performance program “Q***r Deities” ***rdeities - an art project by , .k, and .rodionov.

This time we would like to highlight the exceptional deity representing Samdzimari

The project tells the stories of seven q***r individuals forced to migrate from the Caucasus due to persecution based on their sexuality or gender identity. Drawing parallels between their journeys and ancient deities, Q***r Deities reimagines a forgotten pantheon of gender-fluid divinities from the region.

Through performances in cities where these migrants now live, the project reflects on displacement, resilience, and belonging — blending mythology, personal testimony, and performance.

The work will culminate in a final exhibition featuring archival photos, videos, and documentation from both public and staged performances.

Creators
დ — Brooklyn & Tbilisi-based artist reimagining ancestral rituals through a q***r lens.
დ .rodionov — artist-curator in Berlin & Tbilisi exploring identity, migration & q***r narratives.
დ .k — Tbilisi-based photographer addressing social inequality & minority rights.

🎶 ARTIST SPOTLIGHT for Bremen concert 🎶
.machavariani &

We’re thrilled to welcome the incredible Georgian artist duo Ano and Mano to IM KLANG DER BERGE — a night of Georgian sound, resistance, and hope in Bremen.
machavariani and , two Georgian artists, both based in Belgium, came together to reimagine how opera is experienced and understood, by eliminating traditional barriers, making it more accessible to wider audiences.

By taking performances beyond concert halls and bringing it into everyday spaces, Ano and Mano challenge the exclusivity often associated with opera. They’ve performed in unique venues, including a nightclub, showing that opera can belong anywhere and it can speak to everyone.

The duo was formed through Liaison Music.

Ano and Mano also experiment by adapting a range of Georgian songs into the operatic form, staying connected to their cultural roots and introducing Georgian music to the new audiences.

We’re honored to welcome two unique Georgian musicians whose work transcends borders and genres:

🎶 Lila Veil () is a Berlin-based Georgian musician with deep roots in the rural mountains of Georgia. Echoing the folk melodies passed down by her family, she blends acoustic guitar, synths, and drum machines into ambient, experimental folk compositions. Her soft, melancholic voice carries a dreamlike quality—singing in multiple languages, yet always speaking to the heart. Her debut album, recently released, features eight intimate tracks that navigate memory, emotion, and place.

🎶 Nana.ios (.ios) is a multidisciplinary Berlin-based producer and musician fusing experimental sound with visual art. Rooted in Traditional Polyphonic Singing, her work explores synth, dream pop, and hyper-pop aesthetics—always independently written, recorded, and produced. Her recent single “Unknown” dives into dark experimental pop, with new music on the way this summer. Her performances are immersive, sonic journeys.

This event supports the upcoming .art festival (Sept 2025), uplifting q***r and feminist artists from the South Caucasus in Berlin.

Let’s come together—in culture, resistance, and imagination. ✊

Bring your friends, your spirit, and your voice.

The metaphor of the “native nest” concerns the physical connection with place, culture, and self-identification. Birds have been migrating for thousands of years, following the same routes every time and creating itineraries. Nowadays, the migration paths of birds flying around the front lines resemble the world’s historical map, which is full of white blind spots. The possibility of returning to the so-called “nest” is an unconditional indicator of avoiding tragic socio-political and cultural events.

Art Group NURT is a multidisciplinary group of Ukrainian artists that works in the field of audiovisual and digital art, performances, and concerts. Founded in 2011 by artist Mykhaylo Barabash and composer Ostap Manulyak in Lviv. (Other artists are also involved in various projects, among them: Yuriy Bulka, Ostap Manko, Sergiy Petlyuk, Roman Haideichuk, etc.). During the last few years, the art group presented several performances incorporating different digital and analog techniques. Art Group NURT works with a variety of topics - such as war and ecology, culture, and history.

The project has been supported by (project CONSTELLATION - led by ), by and by a synergy of and .jerewan . The project has been in part funded by the European Union. The project has been also partially supported by - Impact Grant.
