Ɛmba Da - It Has Never Happened Before
(1610, 1813 and 1866).

3 women who led the Ga, Akyem and Anlo.

Afia Dokuaa, 1817. Niece of a King, the first female Okyenhene and mother of 2 successive Kings of Akyem Abuakwa.
In 1826, Okyenhene Dokuaa fought at the Battle of Katamanso, where congreve rockets were used for the first time in the Gold Coast to devastating effect.

Heritage @ Accra City, a new virtual Gallery experience presents Conversations Across Time in Twi and Ga.

Art in The Bar explores conversations in repurposed textile, found wood and metal between 2 distinct Ghanaian creatives.

Frederick Oko Matey, born in Dodowa in the Greater Accra region is a graduate and former lecturer of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Oko is an extensively exhibited and widely collected sculptor.

Oko presents 3 original art in panels of found wood and repurposed metal. Ancestral Values, Reflections and Wogbedze.

Oko is photographed by with 2 of the 3 panels of Reflections and again with a section of Ancestral Values.

Emmanuel Aggrey Tieku is an emerging and exhibited multi disciplinary artist.

Emmanuel leverages his insights as a civil engineer to bring life to textile waste by challenging traditional boundaries into original art forms.

Emmanuel presents 3 of his vibrant living art. The Wheel of Time and Blue Roses.

He is photographed by with Sunny Day Melancholy. A mixed media artwork crafted from discarded African textile wax prints and second hand clothing.

Conversations Across Time in Ga and Twi presented in 3 spaces is Inspired by Greatness.

Visit and tour at leisure the curated presentation of Samai, Ga symbols presented for the first time in brass in the Lobby.

Candids from a preview of Heritage @ Accra City, a new Gallery experience curated at The Accra City Hotel, Barnes Road, Accra.

We were thrilled to support activities by the hotel to mark the 148th anniversary of the move of the capital from Cape Coast to Accra.
