When I was in university, I used to wonder…

Why did graduates finish school, celebrate with gowns and photoshoots, then disappear—only to come back a year later Complaining ?

I thought the job was guaranteed. I thought the degree was the golden ticket. That’s the lie we were all sold.

The truth slapped me early:
👉 A degree doesn’t guarantee you a job.
👉 The market doesn’t care about your transcript.
👉 Employment is not automatic—it’s a gamble.

That’s why so many graduates end up doing businesses they never planned for. Because when reality hits, you either adapt or sink.

So here’s the lesson: don’t sit in school believing papers will carry you. While you’re studying, build skills. Learn digital marketing, web design, coding, sales, content creation—something practical that the market actually pays for.

Because when graduation day comes, you don’t want to be another statistic. You don’t want to be that graduate who thought jobs were waiting, only to end up hustling in survival mode.

Degrees are not guarantees. Skills are.
