«Αθήνα 1834-1944: Η γένεση της σύγχρονης πόλης»
Μια έκθεση για την πόλη, στην καρδιά της πόλης!
🔸 Η Πλατεία Ομονοίας Τότε & Τώρα
Κατάφυτη με φοίνικες και παρτέρια, αποτέλεσε άλλοτε τόπο συνάθροισης και αναψυχής των Αθηναίων. Το ξενοδοχείο «Excelsior» αριστερά στεγάζει σήμερα παράρτημα της Εθνικής Τράπεζας. Στη θέση του Μεγάρου Σταύρου Πούλου δεξιά, έργο του Ernst Ziller, υψώνεται πλέον πολυώροφο κτίριο γραφείων.

“Athens 1834–1944: The birth of the modern city”
An exhibition about the city, in the heart of the city!
🔸Omonia Square Then & Now
Once lush with palm trees and flowerbeds, it was formerly a gathering and recreation spot for Athenians. The “Excelsior” Hotel on the left currently houses a branch of the National Bank of Greece. On the site of the Stavros Poulos Mansion by Ernst Ziller on the right, a multi-storey office building now stands.
