🌟 Snapshots of Lydia Dimitriadi's installation setting up at the Old School of Sikinos, under the hot sun.

Special thanks to Markos Zagoraios, Pasquale Comigniani, Virginia Pomoni and Ioulianna Georgiadou for their help 💪🏻

Lydia's artwork commissioned by , was the outcome of her residency in Sikinos, in the framework of the open air exhibition "The word for world is sea" curated by

The diptych painting entitled "Between Decades" by Lydia Dimitriadi brings together on the one hand the Greek mythology and specifically the story of the King of Lemnos, Thaon, a myth directly connected to Sikinos, and on the other hand the story of the Roman noblewoman Neiko, whose hermetically closed and unsealed tomb was found in Episkopi of Sikinos. Pop, surreal symbols from both stories parade in a grotesque and inherently mythopoetic narrative that runs through Sikinos' historical time and traditions.
