In Delphi, there is a tiny cup—a splendid *kylix*—that tells the story of a myth few people know: the tale of Apollo’s raven!
Once, this bird possessed beautiful white plumage, but the god Apollo, angered by it, turned its feathers black.
What was the raven accused of? Of talking too much—and of bringing grim news to its master, Apollo.
🏺This artifact is one of a kind and exceptionally elegant. Every time I walk through the Delphi museum, I pause to admire its graceful lines, the god’s exquisitely rendered drapery, his laurel wreath, and his lovely curls. Simply marvelous!
