100 reviews.

We opened a few months ago in a house that's stood for over hundred years. We've poured a lot of w**e, told Kadio's story more times than we can count, and watched a lot of people find the quiet beyond the crowds.

Some of them took the time to write it down. Thank you — every single one.

Here's to the next 100. 🥂

Today is World Tourism Day.

Santorini sees millions of visitors a year, and most of them stand in the same spot, at the same hour, for the same photo.

We think there's another way to visit a place: slower, calmer, in the shade, in someone's actual house from 1880s. Becoming part of its story.

To everyone who's walked in and stayed a while: thank you for travelling the quiet way.

Art, w**e & a little piece of Oia to take home.

Spend an afternoon creating with our local artist Panos K Lilopas in the heart of Oia, Santorini. Our intimate art class combines painting, island stories and a glass of our own w**e, all inside the historic Captain's House of Domus K 1885, once home and office to the indomitable Kadio Sigalas.

No previous art experience needed. Just come curious, slow down and see Santorini a little differently.

🎶 Friday 4 September. Oia

The Languages of the World
📍 Platsani Square, Oia
🕘 9:00 PM
Free admission

A musical journey through the Mediterranean, Europe, the Americas and the Middle East, moving between contemporary pop, rock, blues and improvisation.

The musicians are Vicky Stathopoulou on piano, Konstantinos Thravalos on cello, Nikos Vellonias on guitar, and Kinga Sito on vocals and piano.

My local tip: if you're already in Oia, this is a lovely excuse to stay after sunset rather than treating the concert as a standalone event. Kinga is a friend of ours and runs a beautiful retreat space in Pori, Cybele Space

You could make an evening of it. Start with a glass of w**e with us, then wander towards Platsani Square for the concert. It’s a much nicer way to experience Oia than simply arriving for the famous sunset and leaving with the crowds.

Friday in Oia: w**e, wandering, Kinga's connection, then a world-music concert. More atmospheric and very Oia.

Most people arrive in Oia looking for the perfect view.

And honestly, it's easy to understand why.

But there's another way to experience this famous corner of Santorini.

Instead of following the crowds from one viewpoint to the next, imagine stepping through the door of a historic Captain's House dating back to 1885.

Inside Domus K 1885, the story becomes much richer: maritime heritage, contemporary art, the memory of the people who lived there, a Mediterranean garden and, eventually, the opportunity to experience Santorini w**e.

The photographs are beautiful, but the story behind the photographs is even better.

And that's something we forget about travel:

The places we remember aren't always the most famous ones. They're the ones that make us feel something and live the moment.

If you were visiting Oia, would you spend an hour discovering a place like this — or would you rather stay at the famous viewpoints?
