Nyaman Gallery

Nyaman Gallery Art gallery in Seminyak, Bali, Indonesia. The gallery understands that art does not necessarily get along with quickness. Therefore, one needs to feel 'nyaman'.

Opened in February 14th, 2015, Nyaman Gallery represents both local and international artists, all carefully selected and uniquely talented. Time and patience are needed to nurture creative growth and progress. And only by this way we can truly see the hidden gem of an artistic mind. Carrying this consciousness, the gallery sustains an exclusive, familial long term relationship with its artists.

'Nyaman' means cozy or comfortable in Indonesian. It is the axis of the gallery, the feel irradiated to the audience the moment they step in the space. The gallery believes that art is literally in everything, in every detail. To be able to see and enjoy it, one needs to be in a centered and easeful state, for he/she will need to be aware of his/her surroundings. Feeling comfortable also will help the audience to accept the intrigues and strong impacts the art often projects. Nyaman Gallery combines modern and traditional vibes, exhibiting an eclectic range of artworks: from street art and urban photography to traditional sculptures, from enchanting glass works to homemade silver jewelries. Nyaman Gallery also provides consulting in scenography and interior design.

Photography, in Yoga Raharja’s hands, becomes more than a record of what we see, it is a meditation on what often goes unnoticed. Every subtle shadow, every gentle gesture, every quiet light is a language that speaks of memory, time, and feeling.

Rooted in his Javanese heritage, his lens bridges past and present, revealing the beauty woven into ordinary life. Each frame is a careful orchestration of light and emotion, an invitation to slow down, reflect, and connect with the fleeting moments that give our lives meaning.

In these images, the everyday becomes sacred, reminding us that art’s deepest value lies not only in what is seen, but in what is felt.

Vira Olevska’s art is full of color, life, and emotion. At first, it charms with playful, whimsical figures, but beneath lies a deeper story of grief, anger, and hope. Each piece is a space where vulnerability meets strength, where light and shadow exist together. Through drawing, music, and even the quiet rhythm of diving, Vira transforms her inner world into art, a form of emotional alchemy that turns life’s complexity into beauty and meaning. Her work invites us to pause, reflect, and feel, reminding us of the healing power of creativity and the grace in both joy and sorrow.

An environment shaped by intention.
Where composition extends beyond the canvas
and the room becomes an extension of the artwork itself
a contemplative space for dialogue, detail, and discovery.

Movement wears many faces.

From the delicate twist of wire in an ornament, to the flowing rhythm of batik patterns, to the raw peeling textures of a surfer caught in motion, each piece captures a unique pulse of energy.
Movement is not just in the body, it lives in materials, surfaces, and the spaces between them, echoing gestures we can feel but cannot hold.

Together, these works form a subtle choreography of form, texture, and time, inviting the viewer to follow the quiet currents that animate both object and imagination.
Here, motion is not simply depicted, it is lived, remembered, and reflected.

What binds distinct visions into a quiet harmony?

This selection of Jean Michel Aucler’s works reveals an unseen thread, a gentle movement of intuition that travels across subjects much like a journey traced through memory.
Batik fragments, aged textiles, and layered papers gather into contemplative portraits of Buddha, feminine figures, and blooming flowers, each carrying its own inner stillness.

Every work stands alone, yet together they create a soft dialogue of texture, reverie, and cultural reflection.
In Aucler’s hands, East and West meet not in contrast, but in resonance, as if guided by the same wandering spirit that seeks beauty in every passage.

Michael Hockey’s work begins where most things end, with discarded materials gathered from coastlines around the world. Viewed from a distance, his pieces echo familiar masterpieces, but up close the illusion shifts, revealing a meticulous assembly of plastics, toys, and everyday remnants transformed into precise visual texture. His practice bridges nostalgia and critique, using childhood objects and recognizable debris to question our relationship with consumption, memory, and environmental impact. Each composition balances clarity and complexity, inviting viewers to reconsider the value and narrative held within what we typically overlook, reframing waste as a material with history, intention, and meaning.

Mersuka Dopazo weaves worlds through vivacious color, pattern, and texture, where each surface pulses with rhythm and life. Her compositions are layered stories, a tactile dance between materials, imagination, and emotion. Every detail invites you closer to feel, to see, to be enveloped in a space where art is not just observed but experienced. Enter her world, and let her theater of thoughts and the colors of feeling awaken something quietly profound within you.

Nyaman Gallery is delighted to introduce Kairos Anomaly.

Inspired by Caerus, the Greek god of fleeting opportunity and chance, Kairos creates from the quiet space where uncertainty turns into discovery. His work sees doubt not as hesitation, but as a living landscape, a moment where possibilities overlap, shift, and quietly take shape.

He paints without sketches or predetermined plans. Instead, he follows intuition, welcomes randomness, and lets the artwork guide him toward the unexpected. Each stroke opens a new pathway. Each layer adds a new voice. What emerges is a surreal world where the familiar bends, imagination awakens, and the viewer is invited to wander at their own pace.

Kairos Anomaly’s art encourages you to slow down, soften your focus, and step into the beauty of not knowing, a place where new meanings can be felt before they are understood.

Discover his work in person.
Let the experience unfold in front of you.

The Opening of Nyaman Gallery Lombok

There are places where art does not simply hang, it breathes. Where canvas meets coastline, and brushstrokes drift with the rhythm of the tide. Such is the spirit of Nyaman Gallery Lombok, newly unveiled in collaboration with the serene Sempiak Seaside Resort, a sanctuary where creativity and nature converse in quiet harmony.

Nestled on the golden shores of Selong Belanak, this new space is not merely a gallery, it is a gesture of presence, a dialogue between the island’s raw beauty and the soulful resonance of contemporary Indonesian art. Here, the works of our artists are illuminated not by sterile light, but by the gentle reflections of the sea, their colors deepened by the whisper of the horizon.

In this place, the textures of life become tangible: the salt in the air, the hum of waves, the pulse of creation. Each piece tells a story that transcends walls and time, stories of identity, resilience, and the endless pursuit of beauty.

Nyaman Gallery Lombok is an invitation to pause, to feel, to rediscover art as an intimate experience rathe
# than an exhibition. To witness how humanity and nature, the artist and the earth, are in constant conversation.

This collaboration with Sempiak Seaside Resort embodies our shared belief that true art is lived, not merely observed. It is woven into the everyday

Plastik Kembali

Art begins with perception.
To create is to see differently,
to notice what the world ignores,
to listen to what has been silenced,
to transform what is broken into something whole again.

When Elissa Gjertson arrived in Lombok in 2018,
she was met with a paradox:
shores of breathtaking beauty
entangled with plastic waste,
rivers heavy with what had been thrown away.

Where others saw a problem, Elissa saw an opening.
A chance to ask: What if waste could become wonder?
Guided by her lifelong devotion to creativity,
she began to experiment, to shape, to reimagine.

In 2019, this vision became the Plastik Kembali Studio.
Together with a team of local artisans,
Elissa transforms discarded fragments
into works of art that speak of renewal, resilience, and hope.

The mission is both humble and radical:
to transform one of the world’s greatest challenges, plastic waste,
through one of Indonesia’s greatest gifts, traditional folk art.

Every piece in this collection carries more than form or color.
It carries a shift in perspective.
It reminds us that art is not only about beauty,
it is about possibility.
It is about choosing to see again.

In the hands of the artist,
even the discarded can become divine.

It is with this spirit of transformation that Nyaman Gallery
is honored to present at
a place where tradition, creativity, and nature converge.
Here, art is not simply observed.
It is lived.
It is shared.
It becomes a reminder that the stories we tell
can reshape the world we inhabit.
