GAMELAN GAMBANG STYLE TENGANAN


Gamelan is one of the the traditional Balinese music instruments made of bamboo and played by hitting the bamboo with gamelan’s stick. Gamelan Gambang has a functions as an accompaniment to religious ceremonies (Upacara Dewa Yadnya), because the essence of music is generally to guide the minds of the people who are following the procession, to concentrate on holiness, so that during prayer the mind focuses on God.

Gamelan adalah salah satu alat musik tradisional Bali yang terbuat dari bambu dan dimainkan dengan cara memukul bambu dengan tongkat gamelan. Gamelan Gambang memiliki fungsi sebagai pengiring upacara keagamaan (Upacara Dewa Yadnya), karena intisari musik pada umumnya adalah untuk membimbing pikiran orang-orang yang mengikuti prosesi, berkonsentrasi pada kesucian, sehingga selama berdoa pikiran terfokus pada Tuhan.
