A big thank you to everyone who supported our 25th Anniversary event on the 5th June. Thanks to the Cathaoirleach David Collins and Minister Sean Canney for attending. It was a wonderful night of meeting old friends and supporters of the Athenry Heritage Centre. A big thank you to the The Old Barracks Restaurant for the amazing food and for sponsoring the celebration cake.

Join us on Sunday 7th June as the Athenry Heritage Centre celebrates its 25th anniversary with a free Medieval Experience from 10:00am-4:00pm. Pre booking is essential as each one hour visit has limited capacity. Enjoy dressing up in medieval costume, a fun interactive tour and have a go archery.

✨✨OCAP is super excited to present the 2026 SUMMER ARTS PROGRAMME! Four massive exhibitions will be taking place in the Oughterard Courthouse Gallery. We are so delighted with the line-up for this year, and to be able to present another year of fantastic art! 🎨🖼️

The season is kicking off at June 12th with the uachtarArts Community Arts Group Annual Exhibition, which is going to be a CRACKER, followed by the West family, Aosdána member Margaret Irwin (Mo) West, Katharine West, Richard West and Manon West. The third exhibition lined up is a Group Show by Madeleine Shinnick, Natalie Folan and Donal Kelly, and we will be finishing the summer with a joint exhibition by another Aosdána member Brian Burke and Jay Murphy!

We’re (Galway Traveller Movement) proud to support an inspiring event hosted by Irish Traveller writer, journalist, and disability rights activist Emma Ward Journalist, featuring a panel discussion on identity, intersectionality, culture, and community voices.

With special guests Shane McCarthy, Lee Anna Ward, and Martin Ward, the event will include conversation, Q&A, and refreshments.
