🎉The Bailieborough Development Association (BDA) received great news yesterday from minister Darragh O'Brien and the dept of Climate, Energy and Environment office, that our grant application for 100K under the Community Climate Action Programme - Climate Action Fund 2025 has been successful. 💚
We would also like to thank the support provided from,
our Minister of state Niamh Smyth TDN especially Julia Ann Sheridan and local councillor Niall Smith.
Our Cavan county council climate action officer Tara Smith.
In the BDA we are very conscious of reducing our Carbon footprint where possible and the planned works under the grant will transform the building from an energy savings and carbon footprint perspective. The works will upgrade old storage heaters with energy efficient smart heaters, replace old efflorescent lights with energy efficient led lights, provide cavity wall insulation, provide PV panels to reduce tenants' electricity bills and upgrade to new energy efficient insulated doors.
We look forward to the work commencing in the coming months and having a greatly improved energy efficient BDA business centre for our valued Tenants (Rehab Care, Kelly Cards, BK Technology, SMS Smoke Management Systems, CMETB, Xeinadin Accountants).
The BDA see this as an important step on our continued efforts to support the community of Bailieborough today and into the future!
