Located just steps from Ormond Castle, nestled between 2 Theatres in the Cultural Quarter, Carrick-on-Suir. The Tudor Artisan Hub, established in May 2014 is an eclectic collective of over 100 artists, from Carrick-on-Suir, the Suir Valley Region and far beyond. It is a true Aladdin’s Cave of creative treasures, with 5 rooms over 2 floors, brimming with unique ‘one-off’ handcrafted products in a s
pace full of character and charm. The Hub also operates as a vital portal to many, many innovative collaborate projects and experiments in all the creative arts. Over the years the Hub has evolved into a dynamic, enterprising Arts Community, networking and supporting artists across all disciplines. Located at 42 Main Street, Carrick on Suir housed in a former Technical Institute built circa 1910, located just steps from the Tudor Manor House, in the Ormond Castle Quarters on the Medieval Butler Trail, Ireland’s Ancient East Trail...and situated adjacent to town’s businesses, banking, Hotel, Town Hall with many nearby car parks and only a short stroll from the Town parks, River Suir and new Suir Blueway. The Tudor Artisan Hub is also nestled between two award-winning theatres, partnering and collaborating with both theatre spaces, linking the old world charm of Brewery Lane Theatre & Arts Centre - home of the Brewery Lane Drama Group (group in existence since 1955) - with the new pulsating Strand Theatre - a deluxe 360-seated theatre venue, which is home to the Carrick-on-Suir Musical Society (group in existence since 1943). Collectively these three Arts venues, all within close proximity to each other, showcase the very best of Irish Arts and Culture in theatre, musicals, music, arts, film, writing and crafts. The Tudor Artisan Hub is also the satellite information centre for the Clancy Brothers Music & Arts Festival annually. Perhaps there is nowhere in Ireland where one would find such excellence in the Arts Scene, let alone in a small market town like Carrick-on-Suir. Carrick-on-Suir is certainly a place with a thriving Arts Scene and a visit to the Hub is an absolute must for the Culturally Curious. If you would like to learn more about the Hub and how to get involved, please contact Linda on 086-2560609 or drop in to the Tudor Artisan Hub at 42 Main Street, Carrick-on-Suir.
