Doreen studied painting at the National College of Art and Design under the direction of the late Henry Healy RHA. She has enjoyed a successful career and her work now forms part of many private and corporate international collections. One of her paintings was selected for the cover of a short story entitled ''A Week in Summer'' by the late, great Irish novelist Maeve Binchy. Doreens Studio opened

in 2010 for visitors wishing to purchase a piece of art work and for students wishing to avail of Winter or Summer classes. To compliment the studio a feature garden is also being created. Doreen is an experienced gardener having won national awards for her previous garden also located in North Clare. The Art Studio is open from April to October and year round by appointment. It is situated in one of the most beautiful, scenic locations in North Clare with views of the famous Cliffs of Moher and is well worth a visit when your next in the area!

One comment I often receive is how closely my colours resemble the real subjects.
So how do I achieve that?🤭

The answer is simple: observation…
I take the time to truly study the sky, the sea, the limestone rocks and the beautiful landscape that surrounds me.

It’s al about seeing the subtle hues and the details that make each element unique.
This deep connection with nature is what brings my artwork to life.
