Look closely, paint slowly: a weekend of botanical art at the United Arts Club.

Join RHS orchid artist and Kew Gardens botanical artist Deborah Lambkin for a two-day orchid-painting masterclass on 12 and 13 September. With a group limited to eight participants, the workshop offers close teaching and mentoring.

Drummer John Philip Murray, pianist Brian Priestley and double bassist Dave Fleming bring together classic standards, bebop, Brazilian music and ballads in the Club’s piano nobile room.

Opening tonight at 7.30pm: The Treachery of Images, a new solo exhibition by Tom Mathews.

Known for his distinctive mix of draughtsmanship, literary wit and visual mischief, Mathews brings together new drawings, paintings and collages at the United Arts Club.

The exhibition will be officially opened by Barry Devlin.

The Treachery of Images - Tom Mathews

Join us tomorrow at the United Arts Club, Thursday 3rd September at 7:30pm, for the opening of The Treachery of Images, an exhibition by artist Tom Mathews.

The exhibition will be officially opened by Barry Devlin, with an evening celebrating Tom’s work and bringing members together for the occasion.

One-Plate Supper

A special one-plate supper will be served in the Dining Room:

Vine cherry tomato & basil penne, aged Parmesan & rocket

€20 — Meal only
€25 — Meal & drink
