Busy day at the Kiltartan Gregory Museum welcoming locals and tourists ! The new hop on hop off bus service " Yeats Gregory Explorer " regularly departs from Gort Market square serving Kilmacduagh Monastery, Garyland Woods, Coole Park Nature Reserve , ourselves, Yeats Thoor Ballylee Society and brings you right back to Gort !

The museum has an incredible collection of historic artefacts about Lady Gregory and her family , local history , stories , photos & and a reconstructed classroom from " the olden days" you won't find elsewhere. We are open every day, entry is 5 Euros, children under 12 are free. We accept cash and card payments and sell a number of books and small gifts.

We are open ! Come visit us at the Kiltartan Gregory Museum to learn more about our wonderful museum ( former national school) dedicated to tell the story of and community.
Get to use using the newly launched FREE hop on hop off bus, departing regularly from Gort Market square serving Kilmacduagh Monastery, Garyland Forest, Coole Park Nature Reserve , Kiltartan Gregory Museum , Yeats Thoor Ballylee Society and then return back to Gort Market Square !

Happy birthday William Butler Yeats 🥳

Alongside Lady Gregory, he co-founded the Abbey Theatre in 1904. Today we want to celebrate and salute this visionary for founding Ireland’s national theatre over 120 years ago.
